Bonsma & Reist, Roger Burkhard: OpaqueScript

Published: 03.27.20 Category: Projects

Bonsma & Reist and Roger Burkhard have developed a powerful tool for Adobe InDesign that will help you simulate paper opacity in all your projects.

OpaqueScript is a tool that digitally simulates paper opacity in your InDesign documents. In paper production, opacity refers to the non-translucent quality of paper. When using lightweight or non-opaque paper, the contents of both the preceding and the following page shine through the pages. Until now, there’s been no satisfying solution to simulate this effect on your screen before sending documents to the printer.

Their script is able to improve or enhance the effects of paper transparency in extensive documents in a short period of time. You can use their script to both play with the optical effects of paper translucency and to inspect your files in post-production to make sure mistakes are minimized (e.g. register-keeping and grid accuracy).

OpaqueScript is currently available as a Beta-version by request only. If you’re interested in testing out their product, then you can order the script. info@opaquescript.com
