ZAINA: Paréntesis

Imagery and Print for Luis Martín designed by Paris based graphic design practice ZAINA.

Luis Martín’s solo exhibition “Paréntesis” features a retrospective of the sculptural work he developed during his residencies in Barcelona, the Canary Islands, Vienna and Berlin. It offers an opportunity to discover his most personal projects produced outside his daily practice at Xavier Corberó’s workshop, with whom he worked for well over thirty years.

The invites for the show included a selection of his works in basalt, marble, iron and steel. The papers’ muted colours reference these materials, whilst the sculptures are all presented in monochrome to emphasise their form and texture. The backside of the cards is set in a robust, monospaced typeface, contributing a sense of sturdiness that echoes the artist’s work.
