Yuki Okumura

For his exhibition Yuki Okumura, the artist conceived three site-specific projects to rediscover the exhibition space as a lived room interconnected with the world marked by its own conditions and contexts. For each project, Okumura designed a playful procedure and asked people related to the space to enact it. Concurrent with the exhibition, a publication features a conversation between the artist, Aaron Amar Bhamra and Monika Georgieva from the independent exhibition space Laurenz, an essay by James Gatt and numerous illustrations. The Secession name on the book cover is painted by the artist with white wall paint using a stencil, which makes each copy unique.
