Takashi Suzuki / Studio

A photobook documenting the studio of artist Takashi Suzuki. Published to accompany an exhibition held at (PLACE) by method in August 2025, the exhibition recreated part of Suzuki’s studio within the gallery space. For the book, photographer Go Itami captured the studio shortly before its relocation. Rather than a conventional exhibition catalogue, the book offers an opportunity to re-experience the spatial qualities of the exhibition.

Takashi Suzuki
Born in Tokyo in 1957. He completed his master's degree at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, in 1983. He has since held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Japan and abroad, including during residencies in Germany and Switzerland.
